I spotted red light therapy masks trending across TikTok last week. Influencers wearing them, dermatologists debating them, comment sections asking where to buy one.

The old workflow: open Jungle Scout, search the niche, note the grade, switch to Helium 10 for keywords, open Alibaba in a third tab for suppliers, run a separate trademark search, paste everything into a spreadsheet. Two hours, minimum, before you have enough to make a call.

Instead, I typed one message to Claude:

"Research red light therapy masks on Amazon, pull keywords for the top three ranking products, find Gold Suppliers with Trade Assurance, and check if LumoGlow is available as a brand name."

By the time I finished reading the response, I had a market grade, revenue estimates for the top 10 products, 200 keywords sorted by search volume and purchase rate, a ranked shortlist of 48 verified suppliers, and an IP clearance on LumoGlow. Three products in the top 10 were flagged "low reviews, high revenue." That's the entry window.

That's not a demo. That's exactly what I ran using the Launch Fast MCP server on March 20, 2026, while writing this article. Every number you'll see came from that live session.

MCP for Amazon sellers is what makes this possible. Right now, before search volume materializes and before competitors publish content on this category, is the time to understand it and set it up.

What MCP Is (and Why Amazon Sellers Should Pay Attention)

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants call external tools and APIs and get real data back. Instead of Claude guessing what's selling on Amazon, MCP gives it a direct line to actual data sources. It calls the tool, gets verified numbers, and reports them inside your conversation.

Anthropic published the MCP standard in November 2024. Amazon launched their own Ads MCP Server in February 2026, focused on ad campaign management. Launch Fast built one for FBA research.

With the Launch Fast MCP server connected to your AI app, Claude can do five things it couldn't do before: analyze product markets with real revenue data, pull keyword rankings for any ASIN, search Alibaba for verified suppliers, monitor your organic keyword positions, and check USPTO databases for trademark and patent conflicts. These don't happen in separate sessions. They chain together in one conversation, each step building on what came before.

The practical difference: without MCP, Claude gives you opinions about Amazon based on training data. With MCP, it pulls actual market grades, live pricing, and real CPC numbers from Launch Fast's database. That's the difference between a friend who read about investing and a friend with access to your brokerage account.

For sellers already using Launch Fast for product research, the data is identical to what you'd see in the dashboard. The interface is the only thing that changes. It's useful on its own for research sessions, and it becomes significantly more capable when you connect it to other tools.

What the AI Agent Can Do

Five Launch Fast MCP tools for Amazon sellers: product research, keyword research, supplier search, rank tracker, and IP check

The Launch Fast MCP agent has five tools. Here's what each one does and where it fits in a seller's workflow.

Product Research

Give it a keyword and it returns a full market analysis: the A10-F1 market grade, revenue estimates, average pricing, review counts, and the top 10 products with individual grades, trend data, and opportunity flags. For finding profitable Amazon products to sell, this is the starting point. The agent can run through multiple niches in one session (bamboo cutting boards, silicone spatulas, collagen supplements) without you repeating product details between searches.

Keyword Research

Give it 1-15 ASINs and it returns up to 200 keywords those products rank for, with monthly search volume, CPC, bid ranges, and purchase rates. The agent cross-references this against earlier conversation data without you prompting it. Tell it "find keywords these three competitors rank for with the highest purchase rate and CPC under $2" and it filters and ranks them. For Amazon keyword research and PPC campaign builds, this cuts the manual work of correlating ASIN data with keyword volume down to one message.

Supplier Research

The agent searches Alibaba for manufacturers, filtered by Gold Supplier status, Trade Assurance, years in business, MOQ, location, and price range. It returns quality scores, lead times, and verified company details. For any seller going through the FBA sourcing process, having a vetted supplier shortlist inside the same conversation as your market research closes a gap that normally requires switching platforms entirely.

Rank Tracker

Track up to 3 ASINs and ask the agent for position data at any time. Most useful for tracking a top competitor while you're preparing to launch against them. Paste your PPC campaign data into the conversation alongside a rank check, and the agent flags where you're bidding on keywords you already rank organically for. Wasted spend caught without manual analysis.

IP Check

Before committing to a brand name or product angle, the agent searches USPTO trademark and patent databases and returns a conflict level: LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH. Hand it five brand name candidates and it checks all five, then ranks them by safety and availability. The same check that costs hundreds of dollars from a trademark attorney runs in under 10 seconds.

What a Research Session Actually Looks Like

AI research session using amazon mcp server showing market grade, keyword data, supplier results, and IP check in one pipeline

Here's the exact session I ran today using the amazon mcp server connection set up in Claude Code.

One prompt, four tools called, one conversation:

"Research red light therapy masks on Amazon. Give me the market grade and top products. Then pull keywords for ASINs B0GJYJBJQ6, B0GKGD7MGS, and B0FJ6CNXYH. Find Gold Suppliers with Trade Assurance. And check if LumoGlow is clean for trademark."

The market data:

Market grade: C7. Opportunity score: 60. Monthly search volume: 2,087,969. Average price across top products: $172.19. Average reviews: 414.

C7 is honest. Competitive, not closed. Three of the top 10 products were flagged "low reviews, high revenue," the signal that indicates a market with revenue flowing before the review moat closes. One product (GANOEL at $38.99) showed 778% month-over-month revenue growth. The top-ranked product by grade (Onisdin, B9) was flagged "rising fast" with a 157% 7-day sales trend. The highest-revenue product in the market pulled $281,939/month on 711 reviews.

For researching profitable Amazon products before committing inventory capital, that combination of flags is what you're looking for. You can cross-reference against the Amazon best sellers ranking in Beauty and Personal Care to confirm category velocity.

The keyword data:

Top keyword: "red light therapy for face," 543,378 monthly searches at $3.82 CPC. All three of my requested ASINs ranked in the top 15 for it. The second-largest keyword, "red light therapy," gets 353,723 monthly searches.

Three high-volume keywords came back with $0 CPC. Zero paid competition, zero sponsored ads running against them. "Red light therapy for face and neck" (20,089 searches), "infrared face mask light therapy" (16,080 searches), "red light therapy mask for face" (12,153 searches). That's 48,000 combined monthly searches with an open lane for organic ranking that no one is currently paying to defend.

One adjacent keyword stood out: "eye protection for red light therapy," 13,407 searches, 8.76% purchase rate. Most keywords in this niche run below 2% purchase rate. 8.76% means nearly 1 in 10 people searching actually buy something. It's an accessory play hiding inside the niche, with a CPC of $0.59. For sellers thinking about building a product bundle, this kind of adjacent high-purchase-rate keyword is worth a dedicated listing.

For building an Amazon keyword strategy before launch, finding gaps like this manually takes hours across multiple tools. This took one follow-up message.

The supplier data:

48 Gold Suppliers. All 48 with Trade Assurance. MOQ starting at 1 unit. Price range from $11.95 to $299 per unit. Top-ranked: Shenzhen Idea Light Limited, 11 years in business, quality score 69/100, $75-138/unit, MOQ of 1. The $11.95 option (Shinging Technology, 10 years, MOQ of 2 units) is a test-order price point for vetting before scaling.

Sourcing FBA products from Alibaba normally means a separate platform with manual filters. Here it was one more response in the same conversation, with the Launch Fast MCP tools handling the Alibaba query automatically.

The IP result:

LumoGlow: LOW conflict. Zero live trademarks. Zero patents. Available.

Total time from single prompt to all four answers: under two minutes. The same research done manually (across Launch Fast, a keyword tool, Alibaba, and a trademark database) takes most sellers two to three hours. Some skip the IP check entirely, which is how $15,000 product launches get derailed by a cease and desist. Having it built into the same session removes the friction that causes people to skip it.

Going Further: Let the Agent Monitor Your Business

OpenClaw autonomous agent sending automated Amazon rank monitoring and competitor revenue alerts to smartphone on a schedule

The research session above is reactive. You spot something trending, you research it. Useful, but still manual.

The more powerful setup is proactive monitoring. An agent that checks your business on a schedule and messages you only when something worth knowing has changed.

That's what OpenClaw does. It's an open-source agent that runs as a background process on your computer or a cheap cloud server. Connect it to Launch Fast MCP and Telegram, write a plain-language task schedule in a file called `HEARTBEAT.md`, and it fires on its own without you opening anything.

Workflow 1: The Trending Product Monitor

Connect OpenClaw to a Reddit MCP or Google Trends API alongside Launch Fast. Write a weekly heartbeat task:

Workflow 1 schedule (Monday 8am):

  • Check trending product discussions on r/ecommerce and r/Entrepreneur.
  • Filter for physical products mentioned more than 3 times in the past week.
  • For each product keyword found, run Launch Fast product research.
  • If the market grade is B7 or above, send me a Telegram message with: niche name,

grade, estimated revenue range, and any opportunity flags.

  • Skip anything graded below B7.
  • Store today's results in memory for comparison next week.

You get a Telegram message Monday morning. Three niches flagged. The agent found them in trending discussions, checked the Amazon market, and only messaged you when the data justified it. You didn't open a single tab.

Workflow 2: The Weekly Business Pulse

Every Monday, the agent checks your rank tracker and your PPC performance:

Workflow 2 schedule (Monday 9am):

  • Pull Launch Fast rank tracker data for all tracked ASINs.
  • Compare to last week's rankings stored in memory.
  • Check Gmail for new Amazon Sponsored Products reports.
  • If a new report arrived since last check, parse it and cross-reference keyword

spend with current organic rankings.

  • Flag keywords where I'm bidding on terms I already rank in the top 3 organically.
  • Flag keywords where top competitors rank organically but I have no presence or bids.
  • Send me a Telegram summary with the top 5 findings in each category.
  • Store today's ranking data in memory for next week's comparison.

What you get: "You're spending $1.20/click on 'yoga mat non slip.' You rank #2 organically. Pause it. You're missing 'eco yoga mat.' Three competitors rank top 5 organically and you have no position or bids."

That's a PPC audit and rank report delivered to your phone every Monday without you initiating it. For sellers managing their own Amazon FBA accounting and ad spend, automated audits like this catch wasted budget that manual review would miss for weeks.

Full setup is in the OpenClaw docs, alongside the Launch Fast and OpenClaw integration guide.

Workflow 3: Competitor Revenue Monitoring

Track your competitor niches in `HEARTBEAT.md`. Every week, the agent runs product research on each niche, compares revenue data to last week's figures stored in memory, and messages you only if a product moved more than 15% in either direction. A competitor dropping 20% in one week could mean a listing suspension, a fulfillment failure, or a stockout. That's an opening to grab their keyword positions. You'd never catch it without automated monitoring.

The Research Pipelines That Run on Command

For sellers who want pre-built workflows without writing custom heartbeat tasks, the Launch Fast skills registry has four research pipelines you install once and invoke by name in Claude Code.

Full Research Loop

One command covers five phases in sequence: product research, IP check, supplier sourcing, PPC keyword build, and HTML report. Give it a niche keyword and it produces a complete go/no-go brief saved to your Downloads folder. For evaluating the best products to sell on Amazon, this replaces a full afternoon of manual research with one typed command.

Product Research

Scans up to 10 niches simultaneously. Each gets scored 0-100 and rated GO, INVESTIGATE, or PASS based on market grade, revenue potential, and competition level. Returns a ranked comparison so you can see which niche has the strongest signal before going deeper. Call it with: `/launchfast-product-research silicone spatula bamboo cutting board mushroom supplement`

PPC Research

Give it up to 15 competitor ASINs. It pulls their keywords, deduplicates across ASINs (keywords shared by more competitors rank higher), splits them into Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 by volume and competition, and outputs a TSV file in Amazon's Bulk Operations format. Upload it directly to Seller Central. No spreadsheet work. The output connects to your Amazon keyword research process and listing optimization.

Alibaba Supplier Outreach

This one controls your Chrome browser. It finds suppliers through Launch Fast, writes a custom outreach message using each supplier's own data, shows it to you for approval, and sends it through Alibaba's contact form. Handles replies and counter-offers in follow-up sessions. Every conversation is tracked in a local memory file.

How to Connect Claude to Launch Fast in 2 Minutes

You need a Launch Fast Pro account and Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, or Windsurf. Setup has four steps.

  1. Get your API key. In Launch Fast, go to Settings > Authentication, scroll to MCP API Keys, click Create API Key. Copy it immediately. You won't see it again after you close the dialog.
  2. Open your Claude config. In Claude Desktop: Settings > Developer > Edit Config. On Mac: `~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json`.
  3. Paste the configuration. Replace `YOUR_API_KEY` with the key you copied:
  4. Restart Claude Desktop. You'll see "launchfast" appear in the tools indicator. Type "Research yoga mats on Amazon" to confirm it's working. You'll get real product grades and revenue estimates back, not general knowledge.

The full MCP setup guide covers Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf configurations. To connect additional tools (Notion for saving research, Slack for team alerts, Gmail for PPC report parsing) the integrations guide walks through each one.

MCP is included with Pro at no extra cost. Same data as the dashboard, different interface.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Launch Fast MCP server the same as Amazon's MCP server?

No. Amazon released the Amazon Ads MCP Server in February 2026, which connects AI agents to ad campaign data (spend, performance, AMC queries). Launch Fast MCP connects your agent to product research, keyword analysis, supplier search, rank tracking, and IP checks. Different data, different workflows. Both can run in the same Claude session since MCP supports multiple servers simultaneously.

Do I need to be technical to set this up?

No. Setup is copying one JSON block into a config file. The getting started guide walks through every step with the exact file location on Mac and Windows. If you can start an Amazon FBA business, you can configure MCP.

Does MCP use up my Launch Fast API credits faster?

Each MCP call counts the same as a dashboard action. A product research call through Claude uses the same credit as clicking Research in the dashboard. The rate limit is 20 requests per minute. A typical research session (market analysis, keyword pull, supplier search, IP check) uses four credits total.

What other tools can I connect alongside Launch Fast MCP?

Any MCP-compatible tool. Common combinations: Notion MCP for saving research to a database, Gmail MCP for the automated PPC audit workflow, Slack MCP for posting research summaries to your team. Rube connects 500+ apps through a single MCP install if you want broad coverage without individual server setup. Full list in the MCP integrations guide.

Can the agent replace the Launch Fast dashboard entirely?

For research sessions, largely yes. For the full visual interface, historical trend charts, and the Chrome extension overlay that surfaces data directly on Amazon product pages, the dashboard has capabilities the agent doesn't replicate. Most sellers use both. Quick research and monitoring through the agent, deeper visual analysis through the dashboard.

Does the automated monitoring work while my computer is off?

If you're running OpenClaw locally, heartbeat tasks don't fire while the machine is off or asleep. For 24/7 automated monitoring, run OpenClaw on a VPS or a low-power machine that stays on. A cheap cloud server works fine. The OpenClaw setup guide covers both local and server-based configurations.

Red light therapy masks. C7 market grade. 543,000-search top keyword with three zero-CPC gaps. 48 verified Gold Suppliers starting at $11.95/unit. LumoGlow: clean. Full research session, one conversation, under two minutes.

That's what the amazon mcp server built for FBA sellers actually looks like in practice. Not a demo. A research session run in real time, documented in this article.

The search engines haven't caught up to MCP content yet. Amazon's Ads MCP launched six weeks ago. Launch Fast is the only product research MCP built for FBA sellers. The sellers who set this up now are building workflows before the category gets crowded.

Start with the MCP getting started guide. The config takes two minutes. Once it's connected, type a niche you've been considering and watch it pull real data.

Before you commit to a product, run the research. And before that, calculate whether the margins actually work, because the best research session in the world doesn't save a product with broken unit economics.
