How to Connect Amazon to Claude or Codex with Launch Fast MCP

Launch Fast is now an Official Solutions Provider with a Seller App Store listing. You can connect your Amazon seller account to Launch Fast and use Claude or Codex to review your sales and advertising data.
Ask what changed in your sales, which campaigns need a closer look, or how advertising spend compares with the previous week. Launch Fast supplies the available account data, and your AI app helps you work through it in a conversation.
This guide covers connecting Amazon, adding Launch Fast to your AI app, and running your first sales and ads review.
What connects your data to the conversation?
MCP is the connection that lets an AI app use Launch Fast’s tools. Once you authorize it, Claude or Codex can request the data those tools provide when you ask a question. You do not need to write code or paste account reports into the chat.
There are two connections to make: Amazon to Launch Fast, then Launch Fast to your AI app. Connecting one does not automatically connect the other.
Before you connect
You need a Launch Fast account with a plan that includes MCP, access to your Amazon seller and advertising accounts, and the Claude or Codex desktop app. Your AI app may have its own access requirements.
Set up two-step verification (MFA)
Before connecting Amazon, set up two-step verification to protect access to your Seller and Ads data. You’ll use an authenticator such as Apple Passwords to generate a six-digit code.
- In the Launch Fast web app, open Settings → Authentication and select Set up authenticator.
- Add the QR code or setup key to your authenticator. With Apple Passwords, open Passwords → Codes → + on your iPhone. Scan the QR code from your computer, or paste the setup key if you’re using the same phone. Save it to your Launch Fast login.
- Enter the current six-digit code from that saved entry in Launch Fast, then select Verify and finish.
Already set up MFA in the iPhone app? Use the existing Launch Fast entry in your authenticator. You don’t need to set it up again for the web app or MCP. If authorization asks you to verify, enter the current code from that entry, not your Amazon sign-in code or a code sent by email or text.

Follow the full MFA setup guide for iPhone and web, including help with verification.
Connect Amazon
- Open Settings → Amazon and connect your Amazon seller account. This authorizes the Selling Partner API (SP-API), which provides seller account data.
- In the same Amazon settings area, connect Amazon Ads separately. This supplies your advertising reports; the seller connection alone does not include them.
- Allow about an hour for the initial data sync. Treat this as an estimate rather than an exact deadline. Check the connection and sync status before asking for a report.

Choose your AI app
Use either of the paths below. You only need to connect the app you want to use.
Connect in Claude desktop
- Open Customize → Connectors → Custom Connector.
- Name the connector Launch Fast and enter the server URL below.
- Continue to the Launch Fast sign-in and authorization screen. Choose the permissions for the data you want to review, including Amazon Seller and Amazon Ads for this guide.
- Complete the authenticator check if prompted, approve the connection, and return to Claude.
Server URL: https://launchfastlegacyx.com/api/mcp/server
If you use a managed Claude workspace and cannot add a custom connector, your workspace owner may need to enable it.

Connect in Codex desktop
- Open Settings → Plugins → Add MCP Server.
- Name the server Launch Fast and enter the same server URL shown above.
- Use the OAuth sign-in option. In the Launch Fast authorization screen, choose the Amazon Seller and Amazon Ads permissions needed for your review.
- Complete the authenticator check if prompted, approve the connection, and return to Codex.
OAuth is the sign-in and permission flow. You authorize the connection in Launch Fast rather than sharing your Amazon password in a chat.

Start with one sales question
Open a conversation in your connected app. Name the marketplace you want to review, particularly if you sell in more than one. Try:
Use Launch Fast to review my Amazon sales for the last seven complete days against the previous seven days. Confirm the marketplace, dates, currency, and latest available data first. Show the main changes in a small table and explain which products contributed most. Tell me if any data is missing.
Check that the app actually calls a Launch Fast tool. A confident answer on its own does not confirm that the connection worked. The response should make clear which account data and period it used.

Then review your advertising
Keep the same marketplace and date range so the comparison is easier to follow:
Use Launch Fast to review my Sponsored Products advertising for the same period. Show spend, ad-attributed sales, and ACoS where available. Compare with the previous period and identify campaigns worth reviewing. Separate what the data shows from possible explanations. Do not make changes.
ACoS is advertising spend divided by ad-attributed sales. If a campaign has no attributed sales, ask the app to flag that rather than present a misleading percentage.
Follow up with a narrower question, such as: “Which campaigns had higher spend without a similar increase in attributed sales?” You can ask it to explain unfamiliar terms as you go.
Know what the answer includes
Amazon seller and advertising reporting through this connection is read-only. Reviewing a campaign does not change its bids, and discussing a product does not edit its listing.
Reports depend on the data available after syncing. Recent advertising results can change as attribution catches up. Total seller sales and ad-attributed sales are different measures, so do not add them together.
If the conversation also uses product research, ask the app to label market estimates separately from your connected account figures.
If data is missing
Check Settings → Amazon to confirm that the relevant account is connected and has synced. If sales are available but advertising is missing, check the separate Ads connection and the permissions you approved in your AI app.
If access is refused, check that your Launch Fast plan includes MCP and that you completed authorization. Ask the app to report the connection error rather than fill gaps with guesses.
